・2024年2月17日

　コロナの蔓延で長い間、公開の茶会などのイベントができないでいましたが、久しぶりにクライストチャーチの例ブランク公園にて、野点をしてみました。当日は、カルチャーガロアという毎年恒例の市主催の異文化のお祭りでした。幸いお天気も良く、大きな木々の下で蝉の鳴き声を聞きながらの良い1日となりました。今回は京都の表千家同門会本部より、抹茶、菓子、炭のご提供をいただき、心よりご支援に感謝申し上げます。また、同じく本部から送っていただいた表千家茶道紹介のリーフレットも、茶会に参加の方のみならず、興味のある方に持ち帰りいただき、私たちの茶道の紹介にいささかでも貢献できたならば、と嬉しく思っています。
　日本の茶道、茶会は名前だけは聞かれている人は多く、見学の方々は絶えませんでした。関係者の方々、当日お手伝いくださった方々に改めてお礼申し上げます。

The corona epidemic has prevented public tea ceremonies and other events for a long time, but for the first time in a long time, we held an outdoor tea ceremony at Christchurch's Ray Blank Park. The day was Culture Galore, an annual cross-cultural festival organized by the city council.

Fortunately, the weather was fine and we had a good day under the big trees, listening to the cicadas. This time, the Omotesenke Domonkai Headquarters in Kyoto donated Matcha (green powder tea), sweets and charcoal, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for their support.  We are also happy that the leaflet introducing the Omotesenke Sado, which was also sent from the main office, was taken home not only by those attending the tea ceremony but also by those who were interested, and we hope that it contributed in some small way to the introduction of our tea ceremony.
　Many people have only heard of the Japanese tea ceremony and there was a constant stream of visitors. We would like to thank once again all those involved and those who helped on the day.

クライストチャーチ図書館（South city library) にて、茶会を催しました。約1時間半程の時間で、茶の湯の紹介、茶会に参加するときの基礎知識、そしてその後にお菓子（滴潤会制作）と抹茶を召し上がっていただきました。質問も多く出て、ご参加の17名の皆様、およびご見学の皆様とは和やかな時間を過ごせたと思っています。図書館の皆様はじめご支援をいただきました関係各位にお礼申し上げます。
また、お会いできますよう。

We held a tea gathering at South city library in Christchurch on 31 July.  We hope all the 17 guests and observers enjoyed our confectioneries, Macha (Green powder tea), and my talking, introducing Chanoyu culture.
We appreciate all who warmly supported us.  Great thank you and see you again!

クライストチャーチにて初釜を持ちました。とても楽しいひと時でした。

We had a New Year Tea gathering in Chrusrtchurch on 16 January 2021. We enjoyed a lot!

・2020年2月9日　オークランドのジャパンデーにて、呈茶のお手伝いをさせていただきました。

 We served green tea to the guests at JAPAN Day in Auckland on 9th February.
